Baragon wasn't featured prominently in Destroy All Monsters because the suit was modified into four different monsters for Ultra Q & Ultraman. (Pagos, Neronga, Magular & Geronga) By the time it was restored into Baragon for Destroy All Monsters, it was too worn to be used for extensive shooting.

I actually liked the anime trilogy as well

I enjoyed the animes as well actually. I find them to be more disapointing than bad.

Harou kind of kills the anime for me, he reminds me of Shinn Asuka from Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny

Shinn Asuka from Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny, he is very much like Captain Harou from the Godzilla Anime

Mobile Suit Gundam is a multiverse anime franchise that began in the 1970's with the original Mobile Suit Gundam which it shares its collective universe with Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, among others form the Universal Century continuity. 
Then you have the other continuities like Mobile Fight G Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny (both are part of the Cosmic Era continuity), Turn A Gundam, etc. 

Harou reminds me of Shinn due to his immaturity and all bout me attitude.
