Hopefully this is far enough after KOTM's release that the early hype levels and romance have died down a little but if not this could be a fun little thing to look back on and see how perceptions change.
Topic is simple though, we have 3 monsterverse movies so far leading up to what will be a likely finale next year so while we wait let's dole out the Gold, Silver, and Bronze of what we feel the movies would rank.
For me personally it goes:
1) Kong Skull Island
2) Godzilla King of the Monsters
3) Godzilla(2014)

Nice list. For me the list is.
1. Godzilla: King of the monsters
2. Godzilla (2014)
3. Kong: Skull island
Long live the king...

For me, they are all fantastic movies, but they go from best to worst as follows:
1) Godzilla (2014)
2) Kong: Skull Island (2017)*
3) Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
*Author's Note: I did the asterisk because I only think that Kong: Skull Island (2017) is only slightly below Godzilla (2014), even though it is still a really good movie.

Also, @Gmkgoji and @Flyleaf-Rapt0r, what about you guys? How would you rank these movies?

GmkgojiOctober 11, 2019
Um..
1. G:kotm
2. Godzilla
3: K:SI
I love K:SI though, don't get me wrong.
Zwei Wing is the best singing duo. Change my mind.

1. Godzilla: King of the Monsters
2. Kong: Skull Island
3: Godzilla (2014)
Godzilla... Truly a God incarnate.

I flip-flop between Godzilla '14 and Kong: Skull Island these days. They both have different strengths and weakness that make it difficult for a straight comparison. And I think both movies were specifically targeting different tones, which makes it even harder.
King of the Monsters is definitely the weakest of the three though.

Haha, for me the romance with the MonsterVerse never dies down. :P
I really dislike ranking things I enjoy, but I guess if I absolutely had to...
1. KOTM
2. K:SI
3. G'14
Say what you will about KOTM being the most flawed, and I'd probably have to (mostly) agree with you, but for me my love of Kaiju movies has always been intrinsically intertwined with their monster designs. For example: I am very aware that Terror of Mechagodzilla and Vs SpaceGodzilla are not the best the franchise has to offer, but I will gladly opt to watch those two over other options because I love the tar out of Titanosaurus and Moguera's designs. So for all the pacing, editing and character issues KOTM has, it gives me a gorgeous reimagining of Ghidorah, Rodan, Mothra and Godzilla, then makes them fight. And in the end, that's what makes me happy.

Yeah G2014 and KOTM is pretty much tied with me but I kind of like Godzilla's design back in 2014 which is why I ranked it higher

I mean... with my biases,
1. KOTM
2. Skull Island
3. 2014
But arguably, Skull island was a better movie than 2014. The reason I like 2014 more is because of my bias towards Godzilla and my mild dislike for Kong. Not that I don't like him, but... he's always just kinda been a big ol' ape that was into humans to me. I liked him A LOT more in Skull Island, and I loved the little nods to the original. Personally, he felt a lot more fleshed out and a better character than before. Technically, he's a better character than Godzilla... but, Godzilla is Godzilla... and KOTM was at least as good a movie as Skull Island, in my opinion.
If people weren't lazy, we wouldn't try to be efficient. If we weren't efficient, we'd never get anything done.

1. Kong
2. KotM
