Movie Tournament Game 20 - Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah x Godzilla vs. Megalon

VS Ghidorah for the win. Although this was pretty awesome in my eyes. In a cheesy way.

Is it even a question? I mean Godzilla vs Megalon probably got matched to one of the only movies it had a chance of beating, one generally accepted as a bottom feeder if not the worst movie of the series and won by 1 vote.

RIP Monster Zero, Godzilla Raids Again, Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla, Tokyo SOS, and King Kong vs Godzilla who got knocked out in the first round while something like this happened.

I will go with Godzilla vs. Megalon. Still a simple but fun film to pop in and that kids can enjoy.

I like GvKG less each time I watch it. 

As far-fetched as GVsKG is, I've got to give it up for it. I mean c'mon people. Megalon? Really?

^There's a pretty massive following for Megalon. So far this is actually a little closer than I thought it would be.

Well I didn't expect a blow out. The love for Megalon from some fans is pretty strong, and although I value Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah more for its ideas, I understand the love for Megalon based on how much the crew accomplished with so little time and resources.

At the end of the day if you gave the crew from Godzilla vs. Megalon the time and budget that the crew from Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah had, I'd be willing to bet they would come out with a better movie. I don't think it's any way to compare movies, but I like the earnest understanding for the different eras and talents.

Godzilla vs. Megalon has enjoyable moments, but not for the right reasons. I believe this was my first ever Godzilla movie, and I am glad I decided to watch more.
