Why are so many people butt hurt about this movie. For gosh sakes I've been waiting for this movie since 1998.

Wow wow, dude, we can all have disagreements but lets not go this far with the insulting and angrily attack peoples opinions. With that said, i actually agree witht he points besides the butt hurt, and stuff.

Im fine with the ammount of Godzilla we got. I loved Aaron Taylor-Johnson in this movie. And i think people know Godzilla didnt intentionnaly save us.

Yeah, let's be mature with this. Not everyone will love this film, I knew that going in but I do agree it's a tad bit annoying to see so called "hardcore G-fans" complain about a lack of G here but not complain about it in any other G film. I mean for pete's sake if my friend whose seen like one Godzilla movie his entire life can love this I see no reason why G-fans shouldn't love this film too.

I agree with the above posts, take a deep breath and calm down a bit. There were always going to be people who were not going to like this movie because there is no movie that everyone likes. We have to remember that enjoyment of a movie is completely subjective. You can disagree, but do it politely, using terms like "butt-hurt" make it hard to take you seriously. (Even IF you make a good point). Take a deep breath, be respectful, and clearly outline what you want to say. 

I would like to talk about the bad critics that I´ve read and my personal responses to them:

1: About Godzilla´s new design "He is fat" "I dont like his foot/head/spikes..."

Thats forgivable, because its just about tastes.

2: "Not enough Bryan Cranston"

I agree with that one.

3: Aaron performance.

He is a soldier who lost his mother being a kid, like batman, why should he be a weepy bitch?
4: Not Enough monster fights.

This is not Pacific Rim 2.

5: Olsen´s character has nothing to do in the movie.

I agree with this one too.

6: The "man vs nature" theme wasnt clear.

Is debatable.

7: "Too much white people and just one japanese character."

True, but thats dont make the movie good or bad.

8: "The main character is a man instead of a woman."

Same as "7"

9: "The music was bad"

Personal tastes, it was awesome if you ask me.

10: "Where was rodan!?"

@SOMETHING REAL- Uh...Um...  How to explain without getting in trouble...  Yeah it kinda of does mean their pride is hurt, but its more like they had something shoved up their @$$, and now their complaining about it.  In this case the moive.

Here's how I see.  People are complaining there is not enough Godzilla in the moive.  Look at it this way, Godzilla only had 18 minutes of screen time in Final Wars.  Now ask yourselves this.  Where is Godzilla most of the time in this new moive?

If you said the ocean you are correct.  If you said anything other than that, go swin 10 lenghts of the Pacfic Ocean till you understand why you were wrong.

Of course the moive is going to focus on the Mutos.  They are the threat in the moive.  The antogonst always gets more screen time than the protagonsist...Well...Anti-hero in this case.  The male Muto can fly.  Godzilla can olny swim at 30 Knots.  The aircraft carries pacing Godzilla travel at the same speed.  When Godzilla detects the female Muto, Godzilla probably can swim at 35 maybe 40 knots.  The male Muto is still going to get to San Fran. first.  That is why the Mutos have more screen time than Godzilla.

That basically solves that argument.

Personally I was dissapointed with the following:

1) Screen time. Wished the fight scenes didn't cut away. I want Godzilla goodness.

2) More of a buildup in the script for Godzilla's arrival.

3) The score. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed some of it. But when someone opens a door, or picks up a book and we get horns blaring like a roided up national anthem... Yeah just my own little gripe.

Other than that, the film was great! Definitely not an "Origin story", but as a "Godzilla vs ..." film, it was kickass! 

Glad to see other people didn't like the score. It was too generic American blockbuster type music.

High Flyers Tag Team - I do agree with most of your points except for the first one. I kinda do wish Godzilla was in it a bit more but it's nothing for me to compliain about. I was still satisfied and yes a lot of people are nitpicky these days. Some people are complaining that Godzilla was too fat...like.....really....??
