Godzilla IMDB Rating!!!!

i was impressed, that's higher than the original godzilla movie, which has a 7.5/10

You realize that the rating is mostly coming from people who haven't even seen the movie right?

Wait a month or so for the final rating.

Booo! IMDB is terrible to base ratings off of, people have already rated 10/10 and trolls vote 1/10 even before the movie comes out. You want real results? Go to metacritic or Rotten Tomatoes, none of which have ratings yet because unlike IMDB, those are more trusted.

It has 812 reviews so I don't know how criditable this rating is yet since the movie hasn't been released to the general public anywhere in the world yet. So unless a huge amount of pre screeners all went on IMDB I'm calling bs on that number.

NEVER use IMDB for rating movies.  There are a lot of fanboys who give every movie they see, or want to see 10/10.  Overrated movies like "The Dark Knight Rises" get a big boost from IMDB.

Actually,even early professional reviews tend to be higher than later reviews.  The studios know this.  Watch how Rottentomatoes and Metacritic scores are higher for Godzilla the first week of release than they are the second week.

I may be one of the few who really got excited by the imdb reviews. I mean yeah, trolls rate 1 but screenings are shown from today. Besides, when 100.000 votes have been calculated, and the rating will be about 7,8 or 8, from 8,3 which it is now, will you still consider it troll voting???

It has a rating of 8.7/10 now! I knew this movie would kick ass. Although the rating may drop down a bit over time because there are a few trolls at the moment giving it a full 10/10 even though they haven't seen it. I think it's final rating will most likely be between 7.5 - 8.0.
