MemberMothra LarvaeMay-04-2014 8:49 PMWe know that at some point during Godzilla 2014 the military will realize that Godzilla is their only chance against the MUTOs. So I was thinking, do you think they will help him defeat the evil creatures? Maybe they can launch missiles at them or something like that, I don't think it would do a lot of damage to the MUTOs but it might give Godzilla some advantage.
Do you think it will happen? Do you want it to happen? Please tell me your opinions.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-04-2014 9:15 PMone of them (muto or godzilla) was created to fight off one or the other so the millitary will be fighting both at first but realize which will fight for the earth. (my prediction)

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-04-2014 9:17 PMI suspect after zealously trying to kill both monsters the military will follow the advice 'Let them fight' and withdraw with the hope the beasts kill each other. I wouldn't read this as a sign of love and acceptance though. A victorious Godzilla is still a lethal threat to any coastal city he happens to wander through. The military would prefer he was removed.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-05-2014 2:31 AMI hope not. I have a feeling I'll love this movie but Godzilla already looks like he'll be more heroic than I had hoped. When I first heard Godzilla was going to be facing other monsters I was disapointed. 54, and 85 did Godzilla so much justice by himself. Now it seems Godzilla just shows up to chase the mutos. That could be great but this movie doesn't feel like its the dark throwback to the original we keep hearing and I HATE that muto is the bigger threat. I have a fond place in my heart for the heroic 1970s Godzilla but I wanted the destroyer of worlds seen in the comic con concept. Now that was bleak as hell!

I agree with you. I wanted to see Godzilla battle the American military, exclusively. I really don't care to see him battle other monsters. And, as I have said before on this forum, Americans, in general, think Godzilla monster battles are too campy and silly. Hopefully G. Edwards won't emphasize those monster battles too much, because we all know that monster vs man (Jaws, Moby dick, King Kong, Aliens, Predator, Godzilla 1954, is what audiences are attrached to.

MemberTitanosaurusMay-05-2014 4:44 AMI think the Military will target Godzilla throughout most of the movie. Then at one point realize the Mutos are a bigger threat and decide to target them. Like in Gamera: Guardian of the Univerese, where the Military trgeted Gamera, thinking he was a bigger threat than the Gyaos. I think the Military will attack all the monsters until the point where they need to back off and let Godzilla handle it.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-05-2014 6:39 AMI have a feeling the inital godzilla attack Will show them their weapons don't help... Hence the "let them fight" quote. I think they are letting the two clash in hopes they kill each other so the military doesn't need to intervene
