I'm Japanese so I feel sorry for those who felt bad. However, I love the new design. Many people in Jpn like the new design and are very excited about the movie as you guys are. I think those jpn people who say something bad about the new Godzilla DO NOT really know previous Godzilla even though they are Japanese. We all know G14 and Heisei version are almost the same size. Maybe the reason why they complain is that because the new Godzilla is designed by Western people. Kinda racists.
So please don't take the news about Jpn complaining seriously. We Japanese are all excited about the new film.

On another note, you choice to take the fall for your fellow people is something i respect and admire. But no one will blame you or japan.

We all here really dont want a slim (godzilla 1998) all over again, so really dont take it hard on yourself. :)

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-03-2014 8:48 AMI thought their comments were funny mostly. I didn't take any of it seriously. I read a bit about the Japanese "fat shaming Godzilla" on another news site and someone commented that that's the reason Godzilla keeps destroying Tokyo :P It's all in good fun.
