We know that Akira Takarada was green lit to bein the movie but what's his role? Haven't heard anything about this since his photo with Gareth

I think he is going to be Daisuke Serizawa. Ken Watanabe is Ichiro Serizawa.

So, who is Ichiro Serizawa to Daisuke Serizawa? Does Daisuke even exist in this version? Who knows? No one until the movie's showing.

Akira Takarada will only be making a cameo in the airport scene.

He won't star as Serizawa.
