That's definitely his arm and hand. Looks like he was facedown on the ground.

@Guategojira interesting you say that. I remeber from the leaked call sheet something along these lines. i dont want to give anything specific away but i think he is facedown and picking himself back up

That hand they shown at the end, makes me wonder if they wont be focusing too much on the human perspective, making it unable to show the full scale of the G vs MUTO battles (the main reason we fans are going to see this movie). I know that on the Empire interview, Gareth Edwards said that they would not sacrifice the entertainment value for artistic purposes, but I think that it could be disappointing mostly for diehard kaiju fans if only glimpses were shown the entire movie.

I'd definitely say it looks more like his hand. Perhaps he was knocked down by a MUTO or military attack. That, or maybe we'll see some instances of Godzilla on all fours. His arms are already longer than any Godzilla we've seen, and Edwards has said Godzilla is very bear-like in his movement and attacks.

@JOAOML02 I think we'll see most if not all of it, but it will constantly be like us either looking up or down on them. Pretty sure Edwards has simply stated it'll never be like we're on eye level with these beasts. Kind of how they did most shots in the likes of Godzilla 85 and GvBiollante.
