MemberMothra LarvaeMar-23-2014 8:47 PMI highly doubt but what if that flying monster in Godzilla 2014 is acutally Iris from Gamera 3? If Iris appear in the Godzilla film, will we see Gamera in the sequel? Director says he want to do "Destory All Monsters" in the sequel.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-23-2014 10:07 PMOh my God, YES it all makes sense now! It really is Iris, and I've always had the hunch that the 8-legged Muto is actually Biollante, and do you recall in the latest Godzilla 2014 trailer where the kids were looking out from inside the shattered windows of a school bus? That's where King Kong was standing up on his feet to fight Godzilla and the kids were like, 'Wow'.

Previous sarcastic comments aside, I don't know if I can adequettely list all the fallacies here. But it's fun to try...
Chances are below zero that Iris is in the movie considering it's is owned by Daiei. Toho would have to okay that as well and they've never wanted to do business with Daiei. And the idea of four studios agreeing on something (Warner Brothers, Legendary, Toho, Daiei) and settling on the rights issues would be about as likely as finding an ice cube in the Sahara desert. Plus, if Legendary were to use an existing monster to fight Godzilla they would go with something more popular and readily available from Toho's catalogue, since that's the studio they're doing business with. Why would they use another monster, from another studio's franchise that has been in one movie that is largely unknown in the west?
But yes. It would be a cool idea if caution were thrown completely to the wind. Why not...

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-24-2014 5:39 AMNo. As much as I love Iris, he's not in the film.

Life is very simple, but we insist on making it complicated.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-24-2014 8:29 AMIris is cool. But really, why would they include a monster from a different company in this particular Godzilla film?

MemberBaragonMar-24-2014 8:53 AMi always thought that the 8 legged muto resembled that of iris myself but mixed with kumonga in a weird way it would be nice to see godzilla fight iris but that is not the case here in this movie :(

MemberBaragonMar-24-2014 9:30 AMwell if you stop to think about it 15 years ago the natural disaster happened which if you put your mind to it 1999 is the same year that destroy all monsters takes place in the movie, godzilla 2000 was released, and also the same year gamera 3 the revenge of iris was made and released O_O meaning that iris is a mixed breed.... i doubt it but a few little points i would have liked to made i mean this godzilla movie is after all doing a 15 year span from now until 1999 like i keep saying though all will be revealed in good time :)

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-24-2014 11:42 AMIris will NEVER be in this movie, and I consider this entire thread a troll on the FACT that the Mutos are confirmed to be all new monsters.
Also, you misinterpreted Gareth's sequel idea which may or may not even be what he wants to do anymore.
He said he wanted to do a movie around the concept of "Monster Island" that was introduced in Destroy All Monsters. He's not goingn to create a Destroy All Monsters duplicate. He wanted to explore the Monster Island concept that was used in that movie.
Learn the difference please.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-24-2014 12:30 PMthis seems a little bit of a long shot... i mean nice observation with similar monster designs. but its already confirmed accroding to multiple sources, but i will say muto does look alot like iris from gamera no joke...

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-24-2014 6:10 PMI agree Real, it is something fun to speculate over, and the people who instantly started making it into a joke don't seem to have to imagination to speculate such things, it would be an interesting topic.
