DETAILED TRAILER SPECULATION + DESCRIPTION

Let's dissect this trailer, shall we? There's almost way too much information to handle.

Shot 1: We have a bird's eye view of what looks like an evacuation of civilians. In this shot we have a commercial jet that has crashed in the middle of this evacuation. We see fire trucks already trying to put the flames out, however, we don't know if the plane happens after the evacuation or during.

Shot 2: We have an over-the-shoulder shot of of a school-goer watching school children flee into vans as a nuclear power plant is being demolished in the background. (This could be what happened "15 years ago" because it could easily be covered up as a typhoon or earthquake. Cranston also seems to be incredibly passionate about this "15 years ago" happening. Later on in my articulation we will discuss this).

Shot 3: A shot of Bryan Cranston running down a hallway against the running of other [power plant?] workers. This shot obviously taken from the first trailer but a bit more arm flailing is added to this one.

Shot 4: A couple of military vehicles are driving to what seems an underground government lab. Two helicopters follow the vehicles and 2 military men wait for them at the entrance of this tunnel/cave/lab what have you. (This is where my imagination started going everywhere. It is an actual fact that the US has "retired" a plethora of their Nuclear weaponry in an unknown location in the Midwest. Maybe, just maybe, some bugs/insects/ smaller reptilians somehow stumbled upon this cave and ended up being able to withstand it and eventually feed off the nuclear weaponry.)

Shot 5: A mutilated shot of Las Vegas, Nevada is seen next. It seems as though this path of destruction was not made by Godzilla. It seems too slender/convex to be made by big G.

Shot 6: The Las Vegas Statue of Liberty is seen briefly with no arm and some facial damage.

Shot 7: 'AND IT IS GUNNA SEND US BACK INTO THE STONE AGE' Cranston screams to someone behind a window/ screen. Looks like he's in a bunker or lab. He seems to have his hazmat suit on.

Shot 8: A cool pan shot of the top of a naval aircraft carrier with people running from left to right, possibly there's something coming out of the water?

Shot 9: What looks like Godzilla's spikes just breach the surface, talking THREE naval ships up as it rises.

Shot 10: What looks like the scene they shot in Hawaii, a wall of water comes bashing through a busy street, taking out anything in its path. (This could also be what Cranston is taking about when he talks about "15 years ago" because it looks like a pretty modern setting and this could easily have been covered up as a typhoon or earthquake as well. I'm still sticking with the nuclear power plant/ Janjira school shot as being the "15 years ago" topic)

Shot 11: A birds eye view of soldiers walking through some sort of jungle.

Shot 12: The soldiers have now found something and point their gun/flashlights at it.

Shot 13: A soldier approaches the object that seems to be a huge metal container with a gooey white substance coating it. The soldier wipes some goo off to reveal a Radioactive symbol and some lettering I cannot personally make out (looks Russian to me?). The metal container has what looks like a claw mark cutting through it.

Shot 14: We have a shot of Ken Watanabe presenting what looks like a PowerPoint with a shot of Godzilla's spines protruding from the beach. This looks like Hawaii basing the water color off the next shot. At this point we hear Sally Hawkins' beautifully British accented voice leading me to believe she and Watanabe are partners of some sort presenting this nuclear-bomb-testing-vs-trying-to-kill-something idea to certain important people.

Shot 15: A pretty disturbing shot of a nuclear bomb place on a pedestal with a drawing of Godzilla and a red cross through it. This is my favorite shot. As it shows our arrogance and thought that we can obliterate anything easily and have a little fun at the same time. Wrong ;).

Shot 16: A really quick shot of Godzilla coming out of the Pacific onto a beach. It seems to be the exact shot from the photo from the PowerPoint presentation from the last shot.

Shot 17: The screen goes white and then we are gradually shown that it was a nuclear explosion over the exact same beach from the last shot that blinds us momentarily. And just as our eyes adjust, the power of the nuke reaches us and we're blown away into the next shot.

Shot 18: We are now on what looks like a wooded mountainside. We have what looks like nukes being transported by a train, however, the train has stopped. Soldiers are running into the tunnel. In the background, eerie orange glowing explosions can be seen.

Shot 19: Cranston and Johnson are seen in their hazmat suits staring at something. The setting is a run down and [judging by their attire] radioactive town.

Shot 20: A shot of Godzilla's tail as he turns into a block. Note how his tail doesn't touch the ground. Kind of weird. Two soldiers look on in utter helplessness.

Shot 21: A shot of what looks like a suspended nuclear missile held up by glowing balls of who knows what? Oh boy, those glowing egg/sac things. What can they be?!?! Further strengthens what I said before- that these things found where we retired our nuclear weapons and made a haven for breeding).

Shot 22: A shot of Watanabe in what looks like a control room. It looks like the other two men in the room are waiting for an order from Watanabe

Shot 23: Aaron Johnson exclaims "Can we kill it?"

Shot 24: A shot from a boat looking up into the sky as this oddly plane/bird shaped object free falls right over them.

Shot 25: An oddly shaped flying object (literally UFO) falls into the ocean. There are 3 boats also around the falling object, which could explain where the previous shot came from. The object is so oddly shaped. Definitely does not look man made.

Shot 26: HALO jumpers jump out of the aircraft. Taken from first trailer.

Shot 27: Panoramic view of San Francisco, HALO jumpers descending. also taken from first trailer.

Shot 28: Cranston puts his hand over his mouth in terror

Shot 29: The sliding doors close on a crying Binoche.

Shot 30: Cranston puts his hands on top of the door as it closes, knowing it will probably be the last time he see's his wife. This shot makes me believe it was why he was so passionate about "15 years ago". Because he lost something important and wants answers why.

Shot 31: a frontal shot of Watanabe and a crew in Hazmat suits, in the background it looks like a skeleto-

Shot 32: WOAH! We have a rib cage of Some sort! Is it another Godzilla? Godzilla's relative!? No, not in my opinion. In a previous shot, Godzilla rose from the ocean taking 3 naval boats up as he rose. This rib age could be touched from side to side by maybe 10, 11 people with their arms stretched out. It looks too slender and there are way too many rib bones for it to be Godzilla. (I'm a bio major) It looks incredibly snakelike. This could not be a bug/insect as they do not form calcium carbonate bones- only exoskeletons. Not saying this is going to happen, but I remember someone who was a part of the Comic Con concept footage said that the "Vishnu" monster they made was actually reptilian and not arthropod (insect). Just keep your minds open!

Shot 33: We then have a shot of naval boats in a bay and jets being taken out of the sky by some unseen force

Shot 34: Four red flares are shot into the sky by men on a roof top only to be dwarfed by big G. This would be cool if this is where the first trailer and this one intersected each other. These flares could be a signal for the HALO jumpers as to where Godzilla's position was or maybe the flare shooters' position, maybe they're important people. Who knows?

Shot 35: MUTO CLAW slams down onto the ground

Shot 36: Soldiers look up at military helicopters

Shot 37: Aaron Johnson is seen in the train that the MUTO attacks Shot 38: Same MUTO train attack from first trailer

Shot 39: [Aaron Johnson] and another soldier are on a railroad over water, a train is coming their way and they're running like hell. As if that wasn't the worst thing that couple happen, Godzilla's spike totally demolishes the path. Taking down the train and the soldier who was trailing behind Johnson. Shot 40: Johnson jumps from the tracks into the water, taken from trailer 1

Shot 41: Helicopter on fire falling uncontrollably

Shot 42: Elizabeth Olson holding the kid from Timothy Green (forgot his name) as she looks on in sheer awe and helplessness

Shot 43: GODZILLA. In all his glory. His beautiful eagle shaped headed glory. Doors close on what looks like a bunker. Like that'll help. GODZILLA HAS RISEN.
