MemberMothra LarvaeJan-17-2014 9:28 PMThere's something bugging me..What will Godzilla 2014 look like ? Will it be like the wrestling match films from classic Godzilla films (Which is fun to watch)..OR will it be like modern Monster film which took the human's point of view, not the monster..For examples : Cloverfield,The Mist,Monsters(directed by G.Edwards),or Super 8..
Well i think, based on Cranston interview which stated that we wont always see Godzilla but we can feel his presence, like jaws, And the style of directing of Gareth Edwards,i think this movie will presenting pure terror and horrific experience to a realistic apocalyptic incident that is hapennin throughout the entire movie..But it wont be very subtle like CLoverfield..WE'll going to see Godzilla's full body from the aerial units point of view..
What if the movie will be like that? will fans still love it? I think yes, because the first Godzilla movie didnt present a wrestling match like its succesor.. IT presents pure terror. and this reboot will do the same thing..To be honest, since the godzilla encounter experience and the first trailer featuring HALO jumper, i often get nightmares that Godzilla walking pass my apartment's window, which is scary as hell.. Dont be affraid that this movie will have crappy shaky camera,or even not showing the full figure of the King.. We will be satisfied for sure..
Another prove that this movie will be amazing is the fact that, another monster will exist to fight Godzilla..Imagine it,we tiny homo sapiens, watching the horror of 3 towering giant creature fighting each other while we watching from ground level,as our city destroyed to ashes..It made me chiil even to think aobut it..This movie will be Legendary

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-17-2014 9:36 PMIt's going to be realistic. Have you not seen the trailer?
One movie you left out was Pacific Rim which Legendary had a big part of. Godzilla will have a human plot, it's an american film, but he will also have stardom and there will be fighting monster and destruction.

I mean, yeah, they barely showed the monster at all but the movie wasnt about the monster; the movie was about how normal people would cope with trying to survive being thrown in the middle of a giant monster attack in a major metropolitan area. of course, the idea of someone filming the entire experience with a digital camera without the battery running out is ridiculous, but how else would they acheive the tone they were looking for? Cloverfield is kinda like the walking dead in the sense that TWD isnt about a zombie outbreak, its about what lengths people are willing to go to in order to survive a zombie apolcalypse. ok im done ranting about something completely off topic, sorry lol.

A monster attacks a city as a metaphor to a national disaster and a love triangle with characters get caught in the middle of it.
It's more of a survival story, but it's still a very strong character story that uses its monster in a similar light to how Godzilla was used in his debut.
