It would be so ironic that it was in front of us the whole time. Showing the last shot of a film in a trailer has been done before plenty of times and when done right, makes a film better as a whole. It's already such an iconic scene. It's all quiet and then there's sudden shake of the earth. The bombardment obviously didn't work. The dust and debris start to move around because Godzilla is rising from the bombardment. He then dawns his head, roars his prinary roar and then instead of having the Godzilla logo follow the secondary echoey roar, the secondary echoey roar is met with just a black screen until the echo roar fades out. Then "Directed by Gareth Edwards".Personally I think it would be awesome and I'd be completely content with that shot being the last one.
What do you guys think?

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-02-2014 12:28 PMYou're right, that does sound awesome and a good ending leaving room for a sequel or just the end of the series.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-03-2014 5:11 PMi agree with gtbetta35 the last scene with godzilla rising and roars from the trailer should be the final scene but i think there should be a post credits scene where its been 3 years since godzillas attack and daisuke serizawa is searching for godzila on a boat and like gareth edwards said he would do a DESTROY ALL MONSTERS like sequel and then daisuke hears roaring in the distance and see's "monster" island and then he says oh my god in japanese.
