What do you all think about the future of the Kaiju Genre? Will Godzilla 2014 be the last one? Or do you think it could maybe spark other monster movies to be made by legendary or other companies and possibly have a mashup like marvel did with the Avengers? Or maybe even just completely seperate monster movies that does not even acknowledge the existence of Godzilla.

If the Kaiju genre is too rise it depends on two things; 1:Movies carrying each other 2:Good reviews/box office Lets think about what Kaiju stuff we are awaiting; J.J Abrams said Godzilla nd Pacific Rim COULD inspire a Cloverfield sequel. The director Bryan Singer is planning a Kaiju tv show called Creatures At Bay. And some movie company talked about an Ultraman movie starring Will Smith (DONT ASK JUST ROLL WITH IT) Its not much, and only Singers tv-show is confirmed, and i have no faith that an Ultraman movie would happen. Atleast not this early. But there is, as you can see still hope. It all comes down to SInger tv-show and Godzilla.

This movie and the past few others are definitely bring the Giant Monster Movie genre back from hibernation. That the great thing about the genre. It had time to take a rest while people explored other genres that were still going on. Now people see modern giant monster movies and are like, "Hey I remember them doing this stuff a long time ago. Wow, its really been a while and it looks so fresh and refined" and they watch it because it isn't something that has been thrown in everyone's face for the past several years. There no doubt some movie whore will try to throw out a quick money maker, but I hope that the Kaiju genre stays strong and the people stay wise to the good stuff and the crap. It would suck so bad if the genre lost its lime-light because of some cheap movie mongering @sshole that don't care for what the genre means or what it is truly worth.

I think the future kaiju films will draw inspiration from the success of the 2014 Godzilla. So 'realism' would be a central theme in each of the new Kaiju Genre movies.

I believe in Jesus Christ, who's my Lord and Savior.
