I was surfing the wonderful world of YouTube, and one of the channels that I'm subscribed to, E.T. (Entertainment Talk), had presented a link with some pretty damn good ideas. I think the website was something like G-Universe, or something like that (I'm doing this all off of memory), and there had been a study of how the radioactivity has effected the life around the nuclear meltdown that occurred in 2011. Specifically, the article had mentioned how that there was some substantial growth in many silkworms, which, when you look at it, resembles the 2012 creature a lot. I'll try to find the link, it's pretty lengthy, but it's damn interesting. Here it is: http://cosbravo13.wix.com/godzillafansuniverse#!godzilla-breaking-news/crss I'm not very good with links or anything, just copy paste.

@YOURFACE It's not that hard to understand, but I'll try and spell this out slowly for you. The information provided about the growths in the silkworms tells us that the direction Legendary Pictures is taking with the film does in fact have merit and is scientifically sound. They are going to exaggerate the growth and mutation of the monsters for the sake of the story, but it is never the less very much based on what is actually taking place in the world today. The "different contemporary issue" of the movie will likely still be nuclear accidents, as contemporary can be taken to mean simply "occurring in the present time". It's not about the 1954 nuclear bombs dropped on Japan, but about something much more recent and just as real as Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Godzilla and the other Mutos are going to be a product not of 1950's nuclear tech, but modern day nuclear tech which would further explain and give credibility to LP Godzilla's increased size versus his earlier Toho counterpart. The same goes for the Mutos. Was that simple enough for you to understand?

I'm okay with the Mutos being created from recent events, but I would like Godzilla to seem a bit older than that, possibly even millions of years old, such as in this article here: http://www.angelfire.com/ego/g_saga/kaijubiologyarticle.html

Gman, the plot synopsis for the movie mentions the word "eons", which means "a really long time". and it's referring to how long Godzilla has been "asleep" or something. I'm too lazy to pull up the synopsis.

Okay, I lied. It used to be up on IMDB, but now it's replaced with something different.

Ok, now I am freaked out. I am sick of hearing the word "insect". People always say "insect" when they talk about Godzilla's opponents. If there are two of them, the sure as hell better be very different from one another! I don't want to walk into the teater expecting two totally unique monsters for Godzilla to fight and see an oversized fly and an oversized spider. Come on Legendary! Mix it up a bit

Oh yea, and I am fully aware that spiders are not insects... I just want the two monsters to be unique
