Alright Guys, so Gareth's is planning to do a "Destroy All Monsters" sequel right? That depends on how much money this movie will make, but if it is successful (which we all know it will be), how should the movie be designed? So here are some facts about the original Destroy All Monsters: 1. The main setting was Monster Island. 2. Later, all monsters began to attack major cities. 3. It was made to celebrate Toho's 20th kaiju film. 4. The main protagonist were the Kilaaks and King Ghidorah. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All we know about Godzilla 2014 is that it is all based on realism. There are 2 headed snakes, but King Ghidorah is 3 headed and comes from outer space. So how will Gareth be able to turn that into a realistic film? Gareth has a wide imagination, but how will he turn King Ghidorah into a realistic looking monster. There will have to be Major changes to him and some of the other monsters. Are you G-Fans okay with his realistic Destroy All Monsters and the possibility that the other monsters could look extremely different? Talk about in the comments section below.

Gareth Edward had only implied that he might consider a Monster Island movie. He never said anything about it being a sure thing, or even something that would be truly taken into consideration. This has been a topic discussion several times, and we've already concluded that it was simply something the director would take into consideration. Also, regarding your list... 1. .... 2. This is beginning to sound like Final Wars. 3. Yep, definitely Final Wars. 4. You do mean antagonists... Right? Right? Are humans and Godzilla the bad guys in your ideal movie? It would be impossible to portray the Monster Island movies with any realism. The 2014 movie's goal of being realistic is already going to be hard enough to suspend our beliefs, asking us to turn off our brain that much for a realistic Monster Island movie is asking for way too much. Ghidorah, any of them (King, Keizer, Des) have not been loaned to Legendary, as such, assuming Ghidorah makes an appearance is a extremely hopeful at best, at this current time. If you want to see a more modern version of Destroy All Monsters, just go watch Final Wars. It was a decent enough film that highly resembled what Destroy All Monsters was, besides a few elements. That being said, the next movie (should one be made) will probably involve one of the monsters (maybe the eight legged smaller muto(s)) from the 2014 movie and a maybe one or two new monsters that are Legendary creations. I don't like the idea of them using any of Toho's monsters in a REBOOT. They asked to use Godzilla, fine, but I like some degree of originality from reboots, but doesn't stray TOO far from the source material (picky picky, us Godzilla fans are).

and even should Gareth/Legendary produce such a movie they definitely need to make at least 1 or 2 sequels before it just so the series can bring about the appearances of a few more monsters and build up the story to the point of a Destroy All Monsters-esk sequel.

@BCrockett94 I know it does sound like Final Wars, i am with you on that. Although, the monsters were released off of Monster island and all the kaiju attacked. Godzilla attacked New York City, Rodan attacked Moscow, Mothra lays waste to Beijing, Gorosaurus attacks Paris, and Manda attacks London. I know I should have made the discussion specific, I made this right before I left school! If I make another discussion, I will try to make it better and make sure no one has made the same one already. Sorry for the rush.

To clarify, Edwards said he wanted to explore the "Monster Island" concept used in the original Destroy All Monsters movie. He never, at any time nor place, said anything about making a sequel based on Destroy All Monsters as a film or story. The concept of using Monster Island and the concept of basing an entire movie sequel on Destroy All Monsters are two very different things, and it is a topic which has been mistakenly reported and debated for a long time now. So I will say it once more: Edwards never said anything about making a "Destroy All Monsters" sequel. He said he'd like to explore the concept of "Monster Island." Period.

You wanna know how to fit Ghidorah into a sequel? Here is the trick; Just make him a giant three headed dragon from outer space. Why change that? The entire realism thing is annoying me. If this was supposed to be realistic, Godzilla wouldnt be in the movie. Atleast, that depends on what kind of realism youre going for. When you make a kaiju films, there are two forms of realism; Technical realism (Shitzilla 98) and Political realism (Gojira, Godzilla 2014). Whats the difference? Technical realism is about making realistic looking stuff. Everything has too be realistic to a degree, for the creatures origin, the cgi, effects, sounds etc. Political realism comes, not from the monster, but by the people at his feet. Thats what made Gojira epic, the monster doesnt need to be all that realistic, its about how these characters react and what they do. The monster can be as fantastic and far fetched as they please. But there is nothing wrong with technical realism, and there will be a bit of it in Godzilla 2014 from what i can see. You may disagree with me, but thats just how i see it. Og god i made this comment far too long havent i? XD

@ZILLAHATER There is another Discussion that was talking about Godzilla's realistic traits, you should read up on that if you haven't yet. I like these comments, I have made lots of mistakes on it, as I said before this is my first discussion so it's not a good first impression. I will make a better, simplified one overtime.

@SHAZOTHEHEDGEHOG I simply answered his question about how to add in Ghidorah realisticly, in a discriptive way.

@ZILLAHATER Don't worry, I understand what you meant. It would be cool if it was based off the original but just with Gareth's new graphic design.
