Another theory: Why the REAL trailer is going to appear on Nov 3 and why the teaser was leaked intentionally

I really doubt the teaser was leaked intentionally, but the monologue that was used was 1 used by 1 of the people who worked on the Manhattan project which connects to Godzilla moreso than most serious monologues through history do. That and I believe that trailer came out last year at comic con so unless they knew over a year ago that they would have the movie done and ready to the point of showing a trailer, aaand that they would leak the trailer close to that I find extremely hard to believe.

While it's nice to hope, I still doubt we'll see a trailer on the 3rd. And even if we do, I doubt it's for this reason. Legendary didn't put this quote in to hint at a release date, because I don't think they wanted the trailer to get out at all. The put the quote in because of the nature of the movie and how well it fits in thematically. So yeah, I hope we'll see a trailer on the 3rd, but my money is on the 8th. It'll probably be attached to Thor. And if not, we'll probably have to waif until the Hobbit comes out.

I actually like this theory, it has all the evidence in their actions! So it is official, get ready guys, Gareth is gonna throw the trailer in our direction!

The destroyer of worlds´ : I took it as a mention of the Manhattan project and about nuclear effects and war. Now I realize not all of you have had hands on experience and frankly, none of us have ever faced a situation quite like this before. Unfortunately, Gareth isn't the person who will be "throwing" any trailer our way. That job belongs to WB. And if history has taught us anything when it comes to WB, they are the worst at marketing these kind of movies. Just look at Pacific Rim. And I will stick to my theory . We won't see a trailer until March.

Or maybe we are over thinking these things, with the holiday of lights, vishnu, and Godzilla tying into each other. I just think the whole November 3rd thing just has to do with Godzilla's anniversery, but thats just me.

The real problem with this theory is the fact that the quote comes from Robert Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer, the man who made the speech and who is being quoted in the "proof of concept trailer" from which this whole topic is based on, was not thinking about Godzilla's 59th theatrical anniversary when he made the speech. The phrase "Vishnu takes on his multi-armed form and says... ...Now I am become death. The destroyer of worlds." was entirely coincidental. What is happening here with this theory is what has happened since the announcement of a new Godzilla movie in 2010. Fans are reading too much into it. There is no secret message in the proof of concept trailer that Gareth Edwards released in 2012 at SDCC. It's just a short teaser he made to prove he was on the right track and that his vision of Godzilla was true to fan expectations. Nothing more.
