The same guy also made this:

That Rodan is still as ugly as sin.
That is direct disrespect to decaying corpses everywhere and I do not condone that.
Why are u guys calling it a zombie?

HFTT,
Because he looks sickly, thin, skeletal and disgusting. The skin looks like it's sagging off of him and his eyes sunken into his skull. I pray Legendary doesn't look to this for inspiration. I just can not fathom how disturbingly un-Rodan this thing looks.
It looks like an animal to me

It's like an even more depraved and disgusting version of the Hyper Gyaos from Gamera 3. And that's saying something!
"When man falls into conflict with nature, monsters are born." - Professor Hayashida, The Return of Godzilla
GMAN2887 - I happen to strongly agree with your assessment. The image of Rodan, while extremely excellent, bespeaks a more, hmm, nightmarish creature. To me, Rodan has always been a sleek, agile and vicious hunter - something like a giant reptillian hawk. The Rodan this artist has presented strikes me as a lumbering, terrifying, stork-like abomination that would fit-in well with movies such as The Mist. I'm certainly not saying that the monster looks terrible; I'm saying it doesn't strike me as a fitting representation of Rodan. Of course, my opinion is only mine; if Legendary goes with a similar design, I'll enjoy it just fine! I might have nightmares later, but it'll still be excellent! :)
Here, however, is another image of that Rodan concept that was released by Legendary.
Blast it all to bloody pieces! I can't get the image to show-up. I'm so very sorry, everyone. Forgive me. :(
Well, going to the DeviantArt page that's linked, this is a fan-made photo, by the same guy who did the Ghidorah vs. Godzilla 2014 picture we've all seen.
As well as a one of Godzilla vs. Biollante
NERDYBANDGEEKS, Dude, that picture that he made of Godzilla vs Biollante is amazing. I'd love to see them bring Biollante into one of the sequels. Hopefully they'd find a way to make it "realistic" so it can fit in.
Now I recall what that Rodan looks like.
Ok ok I will change it, Yes I keep hearing that my depiction of rodan is bad. All I wanted was a giant like ptarandon look. Im just the tye of artist that over exagerates looks. Its a style. But if its really that bad. I will reduce his age by alot and make it a younger rodan, Take away the folds of his neck (rendering problem, The folds of his neck are not even supose to look like that). Maybe make him more colorful (hissss I hate color) Perhaps do something whith his head and ...... dare i say it... Not overexagerate his anatomy. (worked hard on his muscular and skeletal system i just wanted it to show a bit of it)
