If the link doesn't work, simply type "Godzilla 2014" in the search bar of urban-collectors.com. There are 3 Godzilla toys up for pre-order so far, tho unfortunately no pics yet.

There won't be any pics until WB and Legendary give the okay.
Anyways, what the hell were they thinking, naming a monster Muto?
I mean, that doesn't sound threatening at all. "Oh here comes Muto!"
October 20, 2013
The important thing is that we now know more info, especially about the toys. They all sound epic! And Muto isn't that bad of a name really. Not much better than "Gigan" or "Kumonga". Just saying...
October 20, 2013
Yeah, and it might even just be a false name, to keep too much information being leaked.
October 20, 2013
Why is Muto measuring 3.5 feet? That's a bit large for some figures isn't it? But then again, it's a hundred bucks.
October 20, 2013
These are like hardcore collectors items. I got dibs on the "Attack and Roar Godzilla figure". Hellz yeah.
October 20, 2013
"Muto" is a fairly common Japanese surname. It's possible the monster is named after a Japanese character who founded the creature in the movie. (Perhaps Ken Watanabe's character? I don't know. It's just conjecture.)
Also if you go to this web page, and read the description, it confirms Godzilla has his atomic blast.

What the hell is up with these measurements? Am I just reading them wrong? How the hell do you fit a 10 ft tall Godzilla through a door?
October 20, 2013
I think it's pretty safe to say it's inches, not feet.

October 20, 2013
It's in inches, that also explains the supposed 3.5 ft Mutos. It's 3.5 inches. So the Godzilla figure you're talking about is 10 inches tall. Awesome.
October 20, 2013
I'm pretty sure that Ken Watanabe is John Serizawa... His character is lacking a surname in the casting credits available. Watanabe is John (surname).. But maybe he's going to be Muto. I dunno, would be interesting.
October 20, 2013
We don't know for sure who Watanabe is playing. The Serizawa talk are nothing more than rumors started by imbd. Anyone can change information on imdb.com.

It has an apostrophe, not a quotation mark. I mean, I haven't done much measuring for a year or two, so maybe I'm wrong- But I am pretty sure an apostrophe means foot, while quotations mean inches.
October 20, 2013
Yeah, I know your right. I feel stupid, but I can admit it. But John is the character name, according to Wikipedia.
October 20, 2013
In most circles, yes. But, c'mon, use common sense. A 10 foot Godzilla toy? Chances are it's just a minor typo. When it comes out next spring I can guarantee you, 110%, it will be 10 inches tall. Not taller than a basketball player.

I also found chibi figures for the movie. It says "the Mutos." meaning, there's going to be more than one of the bastards.
October 20, 2013
Wikipedia can also be changed by anyone and, more importantly, it doesn't list a source from which that character name came from.

October 20, 2013
Hey, I'll be laughing my ass off when you people get a ten foot tall Godzilla shoved in your mailbox come March 2014.
October 20, 2013
Yeah, but usually the good people of the internet fix things that people mess around with on wikipedia... Though, I'm probably wrong. As always.
October 20, 2013
Anyways, there doesn't seem to be anything about the third monster. Mutos, now that I know that there are more than one Muto, I think it might be short for Mutants, or something to do with the word Mutant.

Great finds guys! Thanks so much for posting this up! I've made a post on the homepage about it and linked back to this topic to encourage more discussion here. Great work!

Yeah, totally beat me to the punch Chris.
I don't believe Muto is the NAME of the monster, so much as the name of the type of monster. Possibly an abbreviation of mutant or mutation.
Like Pacific Rim had a Kaiju called Knifehead.
Godzilla 2014 will have a Muto called.....TBD.
There being multiple Mutos, I really hope they are different kinds, and not something silly, like a large swarm of the same kind like we saw in Godzilla vs Megagarius.
Anyways, just my 2 cents.
